Empowering Relationships is a respectful relationships program for middle and senior school students in Australian secondary schools.

Empowering Relationships is a respectful relationships program for middle and senior school students in Australian secondary schools. It helps young people build empathy, boundaries, consent awareness, and emotional intelligence through interactive workshops, real-life scenarios, and optional social activities. The program is tailored to each school’s context and can be integrated into existing wellbeing and pastoral care frameworks. All Empowering Relationship programs are endorsed by the Office of eSafety as a Trusted eSafety Provider.

Empowerment-Ed’s healthy, respectful relationship programs have two clear hopes:

  1. To upskill young people on how to get it right in relationships (online, in-person, boundaries, consent, empathy, communication)

  2. To provide a space for young people to authentically connect and build pro-social skills

How we do this:

  • Rather than lecturing, we ask questions and invite collaboration to get young people thinking and reflecting on the person they are

  • Me & My World is an engaging, age‑appropriate workshop designed to help upper‑primary students understand what healthy friendships look and feel like.

    Through storytelling, real‑life scenarios, and hands‑on activities, students explore respect, empathy, boundaries, and how to navigate tricky social moments with confidence.

    We create a safe, supportive space where students can:

    • Reflect on what makes a good friend

    • Practise pro‑social skills like listening, including others, and managing conflict

    • Learn how to respond to unkind behaviour

    Me & My World equips young people in upper primary years with practical tools to connect kindly, communicate clearly, and contribute positively to their classroom community.

  • The Authentic Man

    In a world where boys are being told continuously what not to do, an alternative of what to strive for must be presented. Instead of being alienated, boys must be engaged on what it means to be an authentic man in modern society.

    ​In this workshop, Ben works through the damaging narrative traditional forms of masculinity have done to both men and women alike. Audiences are given guidance on how to offset the current social description of masculinity, where men are depicted as aggressive, violent, unemotional and non-nurturing. More importantly, participants are then offered a road map forward of what positive masculinity looks like, how everyone benefits from this approach and how to apply these new learnings to the gifts and talents each individual possesses. Participants will have the opportunity to workshop through a variety of age-appropriate scenarios to develop critical analysis skills to promote healthy masculinity in modern settings.

  • Parenting in the age of social media: what parents need to know and how they can support their child to become kind, compassionate, resilient individuals.

    In this keynote, Ben will unpack with parents the 'age and stage' of where their child is in terms of social development and relationships. Parents will be highlighted key warning signs that they must be across, while being provided with user-friendly, proactive, high impact strategies to best support their child as they journey through adolescence. An opportunity for Q&A to provide real-time feedback to parents is also available.

    Note: this keynote is recommended to complement a school run information evening.

  • Empowering Relationships is a values-driven respectful relationship school program designed to help students build empathy, boundaries, and emotional intelligence. It equips young people with the tools to foster healthy relationships; grounded in respect, self-awareness, and connection.

  • Empowering Relationships is tailored for middle and senior school students, with content adapted to suit each school’s and cohort context.

    It’s both effective for single sex schools seeking to deepen their understanding of respectful relationships and emotional wellbeing in partnership (often done with another single-sex school), or within one co-ed school focusing on the role of healthy relationships within a cohort.

  • Unlike generic curriculum add-ons, Empowerment-Ed’s approach is immersive, relational, and culturally responsive. The program blends evidence-based practices with engaging delivery, making it one of the most impactful and relevant respectful relationship school programs available.

    The programs rigor has also been affirmed through the endorsement and approval of the Australian Council for Education Research Wellbeing Guide.
